ELECTION NEWS………………………………

The City and State General Election will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at the Luna Pier Fire Hall.  The poll will be opened from 7:00 AM and will remain open until 8:00 PM of the same Election Day.  To comply with the Help American Vote Act (HAVA), voting instructions will be available on audio tap and in Braille.  Arrangements for obtaining the instructions in these alternative formats can be made by contacting the City Clerk in advance of the election.  All polling locations are accessible for voters with disabilities.

You may register to vote at City Hall during regular business hours or at your local Secretary of State branch office. We also have registration forms on our website that may be printed out at home along with a registration link to the State of Michigan so that you can check your own registration status if you wish. The link is located on the left hand side under Clerk links.  The close of registration for the General Election is Tuesday, October 11, 2016.

If you need an Absent Voter Ballot Application, please stop at City Hall during regular business hours or call 734-848-6495. An Absent Voter Ballot Application can be mailed to you.

A sample ballot when available is posted at City Hall and on this website under the Election Information and Results link.
